DRV Dashcam – Drive Real Vision ("App", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the App's features and services.

a) Google Sign-In Information

When you choose to sign in with Google, we may collect:

Name
Email address
Profile picture (if provided by Google)

This information is used solely for account creation, authentication, and user identification within the App.

b) Device Permissions

The App may request access to:

Camera (for dashcam and video recording features)
Microphone (for audio recording and voice features)
Storage/Media access (to save recordings locally on your device)
Internet access (for online services and content)
Location access (for Emergency SOS, Weather information, and Nearby Services)
Notification permission (to receive emergency alerts, app notifications, and important updates)

Permissions are requested only when required by the corresponding feature.

2. Emergency SOS and Location Data

The App includes an Emergency SOS feature designed to help users during emergency situations.

When an SOS alert is manually triggered by the user:

The App collects the user's current device location.
The App includes the emergency note previously saved by the user (if available).
The SOS alert is securely delivered only to the Safety Circle members added by the user within the DRV Dashcam App.
Push notifications are sent to those Safety Circle members to notify them of the emergency.
Location information is used solely for providing emergency assistance through the App.

The App does not continuously track the user's location for the SOS feature. Location is accessed only when the user activates the SOS feature.

3. Weather Information

The App provides weather information to improve the driving experience.

To display weather information:

The App may determine an approximate location using available network information.
If the user grants location permission, the App may use the device's current location to provide more accurate weather information.
Previously retrieved weather information may be temporarily displayed while updated weather data is being fetched.

Location information collected for weather functionality is used only to provide weather-related services and is not used for continuous tracking.

4. Nearby Services

The App may use location information to help users find nearby services such as:

Hospitals
Petrol Pumps
Mechanics
EV Charging Stations
Hotels
Car Wash Services
Other nearby points of interest

Location information is used only to provide relevant nearby results.

5. Video and Audio Recordings

All video and audio recordings created using the App are stored locally on the user's device.

The developer and administrators do not automatically access, collect, monitor, retrieve, or view recordings stored on a user's device.

6. Optional Sharing

The App may provide optional features that allow users to voluntarily share recordings, files, feedback, or other content with administrators.

Any such sharing occurs only when initiated by the user.

7. Chat and Support Features

The App includes communication features that allow users to contact administrators for:

Support
Feedback
Assistance
General communication

Messages shared through these features are used only to provide support, respond to user requests, and improve the App experience.

8. Data Usage and Security

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to help protect user information and maintain service security.

9. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Users have the right to request deletion of their account and associated personal information.

The App provides a Delete Data feature through which users may request account and data removal.

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, applicable personal information will be permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may utilize trusted third-party services, including:

Google Sign-In
Google Maps and related location services
Firebase Authentication
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Push Notifications)
YouTube content services
Open-Meteo Weather Services
Analytics services (if enabled)

These services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any updates will be posted within the App or associated services. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
